Garin, Coppi, Merckx, Bobet, Duclos-Lassalle, Hinault… The legend of the Queen of Classics, Paris–Roubaix, goes all the way back to 1896, predating the inaugural edition of the Tour de France by seven years. The Hauts-de-France Region, a major partner of a race that brings out tens of thousands of fans along its roads year after year, is proud to renew its support for this event. It is also proud to have stood for decades behind this great and beautiful race, which will follow in the footsteps of other major classics this year by organising a women›s race a few days ahead of the men›s one. Hauts-de-France, a sports and cycling hub, wishes everyone an excellent 2021 Paris–Roubaix.

The European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) is pleased to host the first edition of Paris-Roubaix Femmes! Serving the 95 municipalities that make it up, the European Metropolis of Lille acts on a daily basis for 1.2 million residents. It is involved in essential areas such as transport, housing, the economy and sport. For several years, the MEL has been developing a multi-faceted sports policy. The MEL supports sport for everyone, but also top-level sport, particularly for women: it provides assistance to 20 sports clubs, including 14 women’s or mixed clubs, and supports, within the framework of the “Terre de Jeux 2024” label, 30 young athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympics, including 13 young female athletes in rowing, basketball, athletics, swimming, rugby, table tennis and BMX. A true home of sports, the MEL has made hosting major sporting and public events one of its trademarks. In 2023, the territory will host five matches of the Rugby World Cup. Last June, the MEL hosted the Top 14 semi-finals, which will return to the territory in 2024... 2024, a year resolutely devoted to sport as the MEL and the Pierre-Mauroy stadium will also host the women›s and men›s Olympic handball tournaments.

The FDJ Group, a key player of French sport that has already sponsored a men›s cycling team for over two decades, is also committed to promoting and encouraging sport among women through its Sport pour Elles programme. In 2021, FDJ is proud to continue its support for top-flight women›s cycling by becoming an Official Partner of the inaugural Paris-Roubaix Femmes. In 2017, the Group started sponsoring the FDJ® Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope women›s cycling team, and it has since stepped up its involvement to net the team a UCI WorldTour licence for 2020. The team is heading into Paris-Roubaix Femmes with lofty goals. On top of its backing for pro cycling, FDJ supports the French Cycling Federation in its endeavour to foster amateur cycling among women.
